I am Imhotep VII a.k.a. Michael. I am on a Sankofa journey to get back to my ancestral roots. My journey started ten years ago when friend of mine gave me a copy of Chancellor William's "Destruction of Black Civilization". I read the book, but if did not truly take root until much later. When Obama ran for President in 2008, I watched as Euro-Americans started to become unglued at that thought of a Black president. Some of those were people whom I thought were "friends". The final lighting bolt hit when i watched " A Great and Mighty Walk" w/ Dr. John Henrik Clarke. That is when the lights turned on full intensity. I started reading his book "Christopher Columbus and the Afrikan Holocaust". My mouth dropped. I started reading everything from Dr. Amos Wilson, Neely Fuller Jr, Carter G. Woodson, and others. As a follower of Christ, I used to believe that is was "un-biblical" to embrace one's heritage. I now know that I was wrong. The Bible NEVER teaches that. I was afraid to embrace my Africaness because I thought it was "divisive" and did not promote unity amongst believers of all colors. I know better now. We were created by God to be unique, not clones. I now know that I am not "racist" because I embrace who I am. I have learned to love my people with a love I never experienced before. I used to push away, now I embrace. I used to fear, but now I fight for our people. Like Sojourner Truth, MLK, , and Marcus Garvey I seek only the freedom of our people which will result in the freedom of other people. I have little patience for . fake "conscious" people who seek not the good, but the destruction of our people through shoddy and suspicious "scholarship" a.k.a. "Wikipedia Warriors" which make our movement look like a bunch on children throwing a temper tantrum. I hope to network and get to know others who have the common goal of seeing our people healed from the poison of Eurocentrism.

I am TSpencer. I may come back and write more later. For now I want to say that Conscious Plat and the Ancients have built a beautiful, inspiring site. I am honored to be a member here of this still-growing community. I will definitely share it and Conscious Plat's amazingly profound sound and words with my family and friends. I hope this is a community where its members can be activated for change.

TheAngryindian and RBG Library editor Bro. Mosi Ngozi invite you to sit in on a special discussion involving a wide range of subjects centred upon the recent passing of two American African social giants: musician / poet Bro. Gil Scott-Heron and Hon. Bro. Elmer 'Geronimo’ Pratt. At issue is the topic of African self-colonialism and how it relates to the political arena of US and international politics. Topics discussed include: the hypocrisy of the Hip-Hop world in claiming Scott-Heron as the 'Godfather of Rap’; mainstream media and African self-colonialism; the announced release of Johannes Mehserle, the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) police officer who was convicted for the shooting of Oscar Grant, an unarmed African passenger; the rapid decline of the progressive left and the swift rise of the far-right in the US since 2008 and the moral banality of Black conservatives in the 21st century.
