Conscious Plat's Bio

I am a Nubian Queen who is a Singer, Writer and Poet. I started singing at 9 years old. My mother sung and played the guitar. My grandmother sung and played the keyboard. They were a mother and daughter musical duo. I joined their group at 9 years old. I wrote my own songs and was often the lead singer at many of our shows. I enjoyed singing at homeless shelters and hospitals. I also sung for inmates at prison facilities at ten years old. In my late teens I was no longer a part of the family group. My grandmother always cheered me on and was supportive of what ever I did musically. I expressed to her my desire to venture out and explore music as a solo artist. She encouraged me and gave me the best advice a loving grandmother could give. My first solo performance was at a talent showcase. Many more performances followed. I sung at Martin Luther King Celebrations, Juneteenth Celebrations, and was the opening act for a few well known artist. Currently I sing songs with very powerful messages. My songs promote Black Unity, Black Love and gaining Knowledge. I also write and recite poetry.  My mission is to help Unite my People. It is not to late to come together. We need Unity and we need to make the youth our top priority. Peace and Love
